Giorgio Armani is an international Italian fashion house known for a variety of products including haute couture, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, watches, jewelry, accessories, eyewear, cosmetics, and home interiors.
These products are marketed under a variety of labels: Giorgio Armani, Armani Collezioni, Emporio Armani, AJ | Armani Jeans, AX | Armani Exchange, Armani Junior, and Armani/Casa. Armani’s diffusion line, Armani Exchange, has always been about getting value for money. This line of glasses make good on this promise by weaving key colors through the collection.
Armani started out as a display assistant and buyer for La Rinascente, the Italian equivalent of Macy’s. In 1964. In 1970, he set out on his own, introducing his first menswear pieces. Inspired by his sister Rosanna, who frequently raided his closet, he introduced his first women’s suit jackets in 1975.
In 1988 Armani formed an eyewear lincensing agreement with Luxottica.
